Merry Christmas Ford Lovers!
Yep, it's that time again, you know...the change of officers.   Well, maybe not MANY real changes. But most importantly, you have a new president (hopefully).  See, I told everyone they need to be at the meeting to portect themselves.  It's going to feel different not having an office, I have been newsletter editor for so long and now nothing.

The Christmas party will be our monthly meeting.  Now, there will be a gift exchange.  Bring a gift (if you wish to exchange, you don't have to) valued at $10-$15 to exchange.  There will be a buffet line, gift exchange and lots of talking to friends.  We do need a count of who is planning to attend so we can order the food.  Let Dean S (now President Dean) know by Thursday if you are going to be there so we can get an accurate count.  The cost is $25 per person.  Remember, this is also when some people pay their yearly dues ($20 which includes the calendar).  Hope to see you there.

I got a call (one of several in the last year) about what a car is worth.  this is really tough, especially if you can't see the car and if you are not in the market or haven't been looking.  sometimes I think we should have someone who is our question/answer guy for car prices.  My typical answer is "what ever traffic will bear" or " what are you willing to pay" and "how much do you think it's worth?"  Some cars are easy to find prices on, but others are harder.  A unique car that is not usually on the market sometimes is very difficult to price, especially in this area.  Just thinking.

Hope to see you at the Christmas Party, December 11 at the Courtyard by Marriott in Moorhead.  social hour at 6:00 and meal at 7:00  We have the room until 1 am.  Hopefully the weather will be good.  some of the past years, the party has been shortened because of the weather.

Merry Christmas!
Guess it is finally beginning to look like Christmas outside.  It was nice not having snow.  Sounds like we are in for more snow about the time I hope to get these newsletters out in the mail.  With all the Christmas parties going on it is also starting to feel like Christmas.  We have a busy couple of weeks coming up and then will be able to hopefully relax a little.  I don't really expect that to happen either as we will be getting ready for Christmas.

We are looking forward to seeing you at the Christmas party on Tuesday, December 11 at the Courtyard by Marriott in south Moorhead.  Membership dues are due the first of the year and are $20 per year (January-December) and include the club calendar.  We do give you a couple months to get your dues in, but you will not receive the calendar until the dues are paid.

I see Elton's letter he thinks he will feel lost without having an office.  I think he can continue to help out iwth the newsletter!

Secretaries minutes were reviewed and tom liked then. He moved we approve them and Maggie 2nds and it passed unanimously.

Peg acting as treasure says we have money.

Old Business
Calendars are on the way.

We went bowling - well a few did.  Elton would like to get reimbursed. Todd moves and Peg seconds that we pay Elton.  Rambling talk of transmissions and fluids.  Bruce took us off on a tangent.  Craig insisted we vote.  Peg Objected.  It passed unanimously.  Elton will be paid.

The Christmas party will be on Dec 11th with horse derves being served at 6:00 with a cash bar.  Cost of the party is $25 per person.  It will be stuffed pork chops and boneless chicken breasts in some sauce.  It will be served buffet style.

Fake motion and 2nd to invite car show sponsors to the party.  It passed unanimously.
We will have a white elevphant gift exchange.
Grumble, Grumble, Grumbe. Gripe, Gripe, Gripe.
Gift limit talk, too much info.
$10-15 range proposed, 12 yeas, 3 nays. Craig was a troublemaker.

Elections (finally)
We started with the easy ones first. (we thought)

Webmaster – Tad won by unanimous ballot.
Editor – Todd moved ad Bob 2nds to elect Colleen by unanimous ballot.  No opposition..
Treasurer – Todd moves and Tom 2nds to elect Dean S. by unanimous ballot. No opposition.
Secretary – Todd moved and bob 2nds to elect mark by unanimous ballot. No oppositions.

Vice President - Todd nominated from the floor.  Shawn nominates Shawna (she respectfully declines).  Jill and Brenda previously nominated.  Maggie moves and Tom L. seconds we close nominations.  Shawn wins and the crowd goes wild.

President - After much finger pointing, Elton's nomination stood from the October meeting.  Todd nominates Dean S.  and the nominations are closed.  Dean S. elected by a close vote of the people.  There were only a few hanging chads to be examined

Original vote for Treasurer annulled.
Tom L nominates Peg.
Bob moves we cease nominations. Todd moves for a unanimous ballot. No opposition.

Mark moves and Christine 2nds we adjourn.
Elton ignores the motion. Trying to keep hold on the reins a little longer.
Much disruption.

Move to keep dues at $20 with a calendar. 2nd by someone. Unanimous bur for one dissenter.
Adjourn by unanimous vote save 3.
