Just thinking back to what used car lots looked like.  I’m wondering if we will look back on today and say I saw one of those on a car lot!

President Speaks
Mustang Running Horse Emblem

Hello Ford lovers,

Happy New Year to all! I would like to thank-you for the support and your lack of sense to vote me in as your fearless leader.

All nonsense aside, I do look forward to the fun and challenges of our growing club. It is great to see the mix of young and old all sharing the same hobby, and the ideas that everyone brings.

As we start a new year, we have car show leaders and volunteers to arrange, as well as an events committee. I would strongly encourage some new blood in these endeavors as we as a club tend to have too many of the same people taking the reins. Please show your support and get more involved.

Lastly, a few thoughts to consider, do we need by-laws of some type? Are we looking to become a more charitable club? Is there any interest in doing a third car show yearly? Are you satisfied with the way things are?

Please feel free to call or e-mail me at anytime as we move forward.

Your Prez,
Dean S

Happy New Year!
Hope everyone had a great Christmas! Hope Santa was able to deliver that new Mustang in your sock, ummm garage!
The club Christmas Party was a good time. We had a good turnout of members and I think everyone had a good time. From the minutes, it sounds like there were a few issues at one table…that must have been the “rowdy” table. And the “bug” in Peg’s Happy Meal was a car, not the creepy, crawly kind of bug.

We look forward to another great year for the Northstar Mustang Club. We do need to get started on planning the car shows. We need to get the dates firmed up, sponsorship arranged and fliers designed. If you are willing to help with any part of either show, please let us know.

A reminder to those who have not paid their dues. Dues run from January to December and are $20.00 per year which includes the Northstar Mustang Club calendar. If you did not pay at the Christmas Party, you can pay at the January meeting or send your dues to the club address…as shown on the return address or the inside front cover.

If you have an ad in our ad section and would like to have it deleted, please e-mail me at colleen.solseng@ndsu.edu. If you would like to put an ad in this section, please e-mail that to me also. If you have any car shows or car events you would like to have included in the event section, please let me know. If you would like to have an article on a certain topic, let me know and I will have Elton check on it. If you would like to write an article to be included with a picture of your Mustang, let me know. We have in the past had articles written by members about what got them interested in Mustangs or their first Mustang or whatever. We would then run a picture of their car on the front cover of the newsletter that month. Enough of the “if you…”

We had a very nice Christmas! But the best present of all came the next day…our new little granddaughter was born December 26. If I am not at the January meeting, I am still in Wisconsin with the granddaughters and their parents!

The meeting is Tuesday, January 8, at 6:30 at Luther Family Ford.

We talked.

We Ate.

Dean and Darcy don't like peppermint (green) ice cream and insisted on vanilla.

We Played games.

Elton had the wrong answers, as some differed from ours.

Darcy says deal with it (the differences).

Dean S. is scared he will have to play games next year.

The old Prez talked.

Elton played straight man to Todd's "Chevy Mustang".

Peg got a "bug" in a happy meal.

We did a gift exchange - everyone was too nice. No fun.

Introduction of new officers.

Farting and chaos. Bob had too much fun.

Adjourned. See you next year, and pay your dues, get your calendars.

Mark

Our condolences to Maggie and Leon Heller on the loss of Leon's father.
