President Speaks

May, 2006

I would like to open this letter using a quote from the genius "Bill the Cat". ACCKK THPPPTT!!  Yes, that is what I think the weather has been like during May so far.  I am hoping it warms up soon.

A good time was had by the people that were able to make it to Happy Joe's for our mid-month event.  A lot of pizza was eaten, and refreshments consumed.  The wonderful president of this illustrious club lost his mind somewhere between slice 7 and 12, and left the place with the credit card receipt in tow (my apologies Brenda).

Thank you Dean and Peg.  Yes, this is a pre-thank you for the wonderful steaks we will be eating at your house on Tuesday.  Not only thank you for the steaks, but also for the use of your garage and hosting our meeting.  The club appreciates your time and effort for this.  As a reminder, please bring something to add to the meal, i.e. the potluck necessities such as salads, deserts, plates and utensils, along with your beverage of choice.

We finally have a trailer, kind of, to use.  BKG has given us a loaner trailer (the one we were supposed to have originally) until the time when the regular one comes in.  Thank you to Dean H. for following up on this.  As soon as we get the trailer in for good, we will take it to Superfrog for the club decal.

We still have calendars available for purchase. the price is $10.00 each.

The Fargo cruise night has started with the first run on May 4th.  The cruised will be the first Thursday of every month through October.  Hope we can see some members there supporting the city and showing off their rides!

Items for discussion in May:

  • Cruise to Hooligan's, West Fargo - May 24, 6:30
  • Poker Run
  • sponsorships
  • Status of cardboard cut-outs for hotdogs
  • Status of business cards
  • Other

I am looking forward to seeing you all on the 9th.

Chad, pregnant

From The Editor

Ford Lover's

It's Spring! Kind of! Now it's getting colder again! North Dakota...gotta love it!

The Happy Joe's pizza night was fun as usual.  Then everyone left without paying! The waitress asked, "Is anyone going to pay?"  I thought about saying "No", then realized they would probably have Colleen and I arrested.  We got it straightened out and left.  Some people drove their Mustangs (even Gary).  The mid-month activity is for people to drive their Mustangs, get together to do fun things, and socialize.

Remember this month's meeting is at Dean & Peg's - 1422 Sterling Court in West Fargo - map and directions on the cover.  It is a meeting, steak fry and potluck, so please bring a salad, dessert or main course to share.  Please bring plates, silverware/knives, beverages.  If you have a table and/or chairs, bring them along also.

See you Tuesday night at Dean & Peg's garage.

Elton

April Meeting - April 11, 2006

6:30 No one in charge.
Todd made us put on name tags.
6:35 The prez arrives.
6:36 Meeting gaveled to order.
Larry motions we accept the minutes and Maggie 2nds.  They are approved unanimously.  I guess Dean is trainable, no one dissented
The treasurer reports we have money and all were happy.
Several clocks must be slow as people arrived late.
Chad and others wanted a report on the trailer.  No one knew anything.  Dean H. was working on it.  We decided it was time to get off the pot.  Chad, the enforcer will take care of it.
We need to move the stuff stored at Time and Craig's Shed, they are remodeling
Bruce and Dean arrive with a flourish.
Todd said we should discuss the poker run, bit it didn't matter, because it is printed on our flyers, so we are committed (or should be committed).
Dean H. said the trailer was on order again and should be here in about 3 weeks (dog weeks?).  Dean will talk to dealer and call Chad with info.  Todd will check to see if anyone else has trailer we want in stock.  Horse was well beaten (I think it was a dead horse).
Brenda ordered business cards.
Car Show talk...Peg bought a car (loose definition), Dean won't let her go to any more shows.
Greg thought the meetings started at 7:05.
Chad volunteered the club to help the 1st Thursday of May Cruise Nite to keep cars from parking on Broadway.
Todd has a web page of coming evens and car shows at www.ndmotorsports.com.
Dean stated that we can still use our 25% discount at the North University and 3rd Dairy Queen
Todd wanted us to rush to get our and see cars at Pracs.
Meeting degraded to chaos, many people were killed.
Chad said we sent stuff to VMOA and will send them newsletters.
Todd says old logo is our new logo, so use it.
Christina talked to Shelby's Organ Fund and they are sending fund info.  She talked to them about sending something to raffle off for donation to fund.
Elton got a phone call.
Mark moved and Greg 2nds we adjourn and it passes with a giant sigh.
Mark
