President Speaks

Hi Ford Lovers
Well our car show is here! That’s why the newsletter is earlier this month. That’s right our All Ford Car Show is this weekend. So time to get together with other Ford lovers and swap stories and ideas. In past years there have been few entries in some classes especially the older classes of Fords and we get so few Cougars and no Capri’s. Usually there are few T-Birds and Lincolns. And Ford powered hot rods… don’t get me started! So if you have or know of someone with one of these, make sure you bring them or tell your friend to bring it. We will need help parking cars, setup and tear down, and concessions. More important if you can help judge in the afternoon it would really be appreciated. If you can’t make it to the show, when you stop by Luther Family Ford, tell them you appreciate the support for the club and the show. As of now the weather looks good, but we will have to wait and see.

The front cover shows what the dash plaques look like and some of the trophies. I thought that might encourage some people.

Valley Vintage Car Show is the weekend after ours. Always a big show.

Our mid month will be a trip up to Mayville for the Cruise to the Island. Kind of a show and shine no trophies, no entry fee, just show up and look at cars and talk to people…a relaxing time. See you there. It should be a good time to make contact with some members from up north other than at the chance meeting away from car shows. That will be the 9th, the day after our car show. The meeting will be Tuesday the 11th! So everything happens at once.

At the last meeting it was decided that we will give some of the money we take in from concessions to a charity. All of the proceeds from the Peoples Choice will go to Make-a Wish.

Well we will see you at Luther on the 8th for the Car show.
See you at the meeting at Luther Family Ford on Sept 11th at 6:30.

The prez
Elton

From The Editor

Hi Everyone,
Hope you are enjoying this beautiful summer weather…lots of sunshine and wonderful temperatures. I know I have enjoyed being outside…picnics/barbecues, eating ice cream at DQ or Coldstone Creamery, weeding, mowing lawn, picking fruit. Hope some of you have been taking your Mustangs/Fords out for a drive to enjoy the nice weather. This weekend will give us all a couple of opportunities to get our Mustangs and Fords out to enjoy the great outdoors. We have our All Ford Car Show on Saturday, Sept 8 at Luther Family Ford. The show starts at 8:30, so let’s get there early to get set-up before the cars start to show up.

On Sunday, September 9th we will have our mid-month at Mayvilles’s Cruise to the Island. A great relaxing day. Bring your lawn chair or a blanket to sit on and enjoy the cars and music by the Front Fenders. We have enjoyed this car show in past years.

As if this week is not busy enough, there is a Cruise night on Thursday, Sept 6 on Broadway in Fargo.

The next club meeting is Tuesday, September 11 at 6:30 at Luther Family Ford.

Hope to see you at the All Ford Car Show on Saturday!!

Colleen
