October 9, 2001 (Notice, the meeting was held in "October") Prez Matt and V.P. Stu must have been waiting for "Nov" 9 and were not present, nor was Mark, so I took notes and our esteemed former president (no, we're not printing any Clinton jokes here. This is a family newsletter.) Craig opened the meeting. Motion to accept minutes from September's meeting- Marv so moved, Bruce 2nd. Motion passed. Greg gave very detailed treasurer's report, we still have money, so that's a good thing. Motion to accept treasurer's report- Elton so moved, Bruce 2nd. Motion Passed. Tim did a presentation on new club jackets, much discussion followed; our very own fashion models Greg and Ralph modeled a couple of the coats. (Don't quit you day jobs quite yet guys.) More discussion, then more debate, finally it was put to a motion by someone (this reporter can not document by whom) as to whether we are replacing the old jacket style or just offering up a second option. More debate. Elton moves to keep our old logo on any new option to keep things "traditional" for lack of a different word. Tim seconds. We actually voted and motion passed. Debate continues and is mercifully tabled till after the meeting so we can go downstairs and see the selection in Valley Ford's showroom. We got a car show report from Valley Vintage Show by Marv. I believe the club had like 5 cars there? The theme was the 1950's - 71 total cars. Our club was represented by Dick, who got center court placement and T.V. time, Amy, Eric, Craig, Greg with his first show of his replica-racer and Heather who showed her '89 mustang. Good job, every-one! Report from color run by Ralph sounded like a beautiful day and by the pictures I saw, trees were perfect. Only 6 Mustangs and Jeff's Chevy but they had a good time and I believe nobody got lost trying to keep up with the leaders pace. Larry was not here to give an Christmas party report so give it some thought for next meeting everyone. We were thinking, it will probably fall on our meeting night in December. It is that time of year again for elections. So if you weren't here you probably were elected. Hee Hee. Secretary: (this guy takes to long to type) Elton nominated Mark to continue on. Seconded by me (Todd) Treasurer: Ralph nominated Greg. Greg nominated Tim and so it goes...V.P. Todd nominated Stu. Greg nominated Todd. So it looks like well have another Todd vs. Stu election campaign. (Please send your contributions to "STUART" for VP in care of Todd, the address is in the book) elections are in November so be there or be elected. Let the ads start running, and get your yard signs up before the ground freezes. Mid month meeting will be(duh!) was at Greg's shop - Harold's Car Clean. Thanks Greg! We had a great time - we had B.Y.O.B. ad ordered Pizza. Marv moved meeting to adjourn. Tim 2nd. We went downstairs and looked at jackets. Tim and Craig are going to narrow it down to 2 choices. Thanks for putting up with my bad grammer, spelling and run on sentences. Thank goodness for Bill Gates and his spell checker, respectfully submitted -- Todd G. Fuchs (the G is for grammer.) called meeting to order at 7:00. Mark moved we accept the secretaries minutes, Larry 2nd, unanimous. Greg turned in bills to Valley Ford for the Car Show. Haven't heard back. We had guests from the Mayville show. Amy(71 Mach 1), Heather(89 white Mustang) and Eric(88 Mustang, 56 F100 and 47 Ford Club Coupe). The Fall Color run will be on 30 Sept at 9:30. Meet at the Moorhead rest area. Much talk about jackets, no decision. -Elton will put something in newsletter. Steak Fry? = too late. Much talk about meat - too much talk about hamburger, hot dogs, brats, blah, blah, blah. Must have approached a black hole because everything s l o w e d d o w n . Much lack of interest. Bruce H. said Greg drives too fast. Prez asked about Christmas Banquet Elton moved to go to Expressway and have Larry organize it. Bruce 2nds - Larry will pick date. Secratary had to leave, I hope they didn't say anything important (unlikely) after I left.
