Taking a quick look back into August, if you missd the third of our "off Tuesday" trips, you missed a great time in Ada hosted by our friends with the Valley Cruisers Car Club. Thanks to Ruth and Wes Hegreberg and all the good people there for a great time, great food and a wonderful evening. The Ada trip marked the third "off Tuesday" trip we've taken this summer. Previous trips to Paula's in Mooreton and the Roadhose on Cormorant Lake were well attended. If you wan this club to do more things like these next year, make your wishes known after elections in November. Looking ahead, two of my favorite activities are coming up. This Sunday in Mayville is a very relaxing car show hosted by the Mayville Merchants. No judging, no prizes, just a lot of cars, live music and of course. lots of food and fun. If your interested in going, we'll be meeting at the Harwood rest aea at 9:30 Sunday morning. Elton and Colleen solseng are your tour guides, there is some talk about cooking some of the hot dogs left over from our Lindenwood Park meeting so if your interested contact the Solsengs for more info or check out their column in this issue for more details. Another real fun afternoon is planned for Septembder 22nd. Our club is having it's annual "leaf run" to Pelican Lake where we'll be hosted by Dave Wickland. Dave is a car buff and in addtion to geting a tour of his beautiful shop, we'll enjoy food, fun and a very picturesque area. Bring your cameras for there will be lots of "Kodak Moments". Contact Greg Adams at Harold's Car Clean for more details. Speaking of camera shots, there is a move afoot to have this club do a calendar. We started taking pictures of member's cars during or Lindenwood meeting, there willbe more taken at the Mayville show and the Leaf Run. Either join us at either of these events or submit one yourself! Our meeting this month will be at the New Valley Ford located south of 32nd Avenue and along I-29, don't go to the old place! Labor Day doesn't mean the end of car shows. shows that I'm aware of this month include: Hulabaloo in Moorhead this weekend Mayville, September 8th Lake Park, September 28th Valley Vintage, last weekend in September or first weekend in October There are also shows coming up in Enderlin and Rutland. More info on those shows Tuesday. Still lots of stuff going on, lots more at our meeting on Tuesday September 10th. There will be more info on all these subjects there, plan on attending. Craig
