Greetings, fellow Mustangers! First a big thank you to Greg Adams who led us for the past year. Second thanks to all of you who suffered thru my first meeting. I hope I wasn't to bossy or dictatorial but we had much to cover and not alot of time. Congratulations to our new slate of Officers who look much like last years with the exception of Tom Lawrence as the new V.P. and me changing into the starring role as the president who led the country thru the great Civil War. Actually I wore those striped bibs on purpose, after seeing the railroad coming down the tracks that I was to be president, I wanted to be prepared for the job so I dressed for the occasion as a train engineer... I knew we would have a difference of opinion on the 2 carshows debate; I really tried hard to listen to both sides, which was a new experience for me as I am usually doing the loudest whining or contributing, depending on where others see my point of view. I believe the club maybe at a crossroads, there will decisions to make this year, that will really reflect where the club is going, what we are doing as a club, and how helpful can we be to our community? These are the factors that will determine what kind of club we are, and how we will operate together.  Looking back 1 year ago we were wondering: * Where we might meet? * Would we do a car show for the new owners of "Valley Ford"? * Would the new guys support us? * Lastly what’s this rumor about "down town car show"? So many questions really no answers. Thanks to our new Club sponsors "Luther Ford", we still have a beautiful place to meet. They attended one of our meetings and offered support to at least 1 car show. But most of all they showed us that they were genuinely interested in us. That meant more to me than a check, thank you.   When the downtown street fair offered us an opportunity to really show them and the community what "NORTHSTAR MUSTANGS" was all about, we showed them, and the Fargo-Moorhead noticed too!! We wowed them in July with our car show, and that wouldn't have happened without all of us pushing our train in the same direction. Now that we have decided that we are going to push 2 trains down this track, it is important that we all know what it is we are doing, which direction were going to push, and who is steering these two trains. We'll get there. I will do my best to keep you informed. I plan on attending as your president, each of the planning meetings for the both the shows, reminding each that they will have to present a summary "BRIEF!!!!" to the meetings and things will be voted upon. This will keep the general membership informed and involved, as they will be able to ask questions "BRIEFLY" and the responsibility of voting on those things that need voting. It is my vision for the club that we are a sound enough body that we can seek out new challenges and opportunities to help others. We have done so in the past and I have every bit of confidence that we will do just fine. Thank you for your support!!  It is going to be a great year and I can't wait to get started. See you all at the Christmas Party Tuesday night! Sincerely Abe Lincoln,    aka Todd Fuchs Newly elected railroaded promoted President, Northstar Mustangs
