Greetings Fellow Mustangers, Just a very brief note from the oval, square rectangular office. Happy New Year, heard that lately? A new year, with new officers, new groups to form, challenges to conquer and most of all new things to do with your fellow mustang club members. I looked back at last year a bit at the Christmas party, we have a lot of work to do to make this year better than last, but I’m sure that when we all pull together- we can exceed last year and then some!!! On Tuesday night we will be putting together some committees to plan different activities. I would like each of you to think about being part of at least one committee: Luther Family Ford All Ford Car Show Committee Downtown Street Fair Car Show Committee Mid month activities Committee Monthly meeting activity I’m sure there is more but I cant think of them just now, I am new at this position and like you I wonder what I can do to help make this a better club. I wouldn’t let a little thing like –“I’m new to the club so what can I contribute?” after all the club chose me to be the president and I hardly know anything about Mustangs. You joined for a reason, to spend time with others with a similar interest. It’s not like we are asking anyone to coordinate a 20 million dollar rock festival with the Rolling Stones showing up each driving a new Ford GT40. We just need someone to help get flyers passed out, help line up cars at a show, bring a short mustang video to a meeting or call a restaurant to let them know that 30 hungry Mustang drivers are headed to their place next Tuesday, and ask if could they set up a room in the back. Easy stuff, no worries! Think about it. And show up on Tuesday. In the words of a different president- who was president of the whole country (not just this club) during the 60’s when most of the cool cars were made: Ask not what your Northstar Mustang Club can do for you, ask what you can do for you club.. Ok so I changed it a bit so what? Impeach me. Hope to see ya all on Tuesday!!! Your humble president. James Madison Todd Fuchs
